As the Tau Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. celebrates 100 years of commitment to excellence, leadership, and community service, we present to you an evening of classic elegance. An evening that will honor our rich history while looking forward to the future, with a focus on continued impact and growth. Our “A Century of Elegance” Gala is a modern black-tie affair that will bring together distinguished brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., current and past members of Tau Lambda, community members, donors, sponsors and supporters for a night of elegance, recognition, and philanthropy; all set in the luxurious surroundings of JW Marriott Nashville, a stylish retreat in the heart of the city that leads the market as one of the first luxury hotels near Broadway and The Gulch. It is sure to offer domestic and international guests an authentic immersive experience into Music City!

Tau Lambda Chapter was organized in 1926, at what was then called Tennessee Agricultural and Industrial State College at Nashville, Tennessee, after its application was accepted by the General Convention. Brother Maney Owen, president of the Chi Chapter (Meharry Medical College), set aside the chapter in January, 1927.
